Wildlife // Singapore

I’ve long not updated this site.  Why?  Not sure really.  Lack of focus, other life events, a million other excuses.   Let’s try this again.

From 2015 to now I’ve focused in on my photography in different ways, expanding to new formats and subjects.  Let me share my most recent (and recently burnt out) obsession:  Finding the wildlife in my home of Singapore.

Turtles Bathing at Changi Business Park
Let’s start at the beginning: Near changi airport, there exists a relatively new business park with a good amount of open area, and within this several artificial ponds filled with koi and turtles, as I discovered back in 2017.
Green Pigeon
Also around CBP, on one of the canals there can be found a variety of birds. Here, we can see the most common, green pigeons.
Egret line the canal
And the other common visitor: Intermediate Egrets
Black-naped Oriole again
Still around the same area of singapore, and specifically on a tree right outside out livingroom window, there are always a number of interesting visitors. Above: a black naped oriole, below: the most frequent inhabitants of the tree, red ringed parakeets
split second flight
Braving the wind
Kingfisher, ruffled in the rain
Some less frequent visitors to the tree: A kingfisher, enduring the rain (above) and black rumped and common flamebacks (below)
