We took executive class which meant relatively more comfort.

Nighttime in Yogya.  On our way to the hotel for a long overdue rest (in a proper bed).

The view from our hotel.  Clear skies greeted us for the remainder of our stay.

The next morning (after a filling breakfast at last) we rode out to visit Borobudur.   If you want to know more about the temple, wikipedia is your friend.

We proceeded onwards to lunch, and one of my favorite dishes of this trip:

Rice soup with pulled beef.  Sop Empal

Sweet rice cake things.  Wajik.

Peppers which I stupidly ate whole.  No amount of water can help you after such foolishness.

A stop off at Remington’s restaurant in the hill sides.  This complements the shop in downtown Yogyakarta.

Remington shop in downtown Yogya.  All sorts of food, arts, crafts, etc for sale here at very good prices.  Highly recommended.

The Malioboro area of Yogya.  Lively to say the least.
